The project
This staircase was built to be the quiet centerpiece of a new home: warm white oak against crisp painted woodwork, with proportions that feel generous without crowding the entry.
Every tread was scribed and fitted on site, and the handrail runs continuously through the landing so it reads as one piece from the first step to the second floor.
